Quality Chocolate
We select the highest quality chocolate available to us, based on taste, but also social responsibility. We support chocolate makers who respect the farmers and the land where the cacao trees grow. Each item we make is built by thoughtfully blending and pairing flavors and textures.
We are currently using
Meso Cacao (Honduras, Nicaragua, Central American Blend)
República Del Cacao (Ecuador)
Heirloom Alto Beni (Bolivia), a collaboration between Heirloom Cacao Preservation and Dancing Lion Chocolate
Whole Ingredients
Whenever possible, the flavors we use to compliment our chocolate are inspired by what we grow, harvest, or forage locally. If we want a cherry flavor, we pick sour cherries on the one morning they are available in our local New Hampshire orchard. We grow our own herbs to dry or preserve in extracts. We head out into the woods to forage wintergreen and shagbark hickory. We will always be tempted by citrus and tropical fruits (the cacao plant being the primary one!), but our first love is what is local.
Allergen Statement:
At this time, we do not use any gluten products in our chocolates.
Unless listed as vegan, all flavors contain dairy. All chocolates with nuts or alcohol are clearly marked.
Please note that ALL Two Poet Chocolates are produced in a licensed home kitchen where wheat, nuts, eggs, and dairy are present and cross contamination is possible. We are diligent in isolating the chocolate production, but we do not recommend you consume the chocolates if you have severe allergies.
